Marlene Turner – Obituary

Marlene Turner was born May 11, 1939 to the late Tom and Laverda Savage.  Marlene was called to be with the Lord on December 4, 2012.  She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Bethel Colbert Missionary Baptist Church where she remained until her health failed.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a special friend, Mr. Ernest Lee Garner.

Marlene was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Emmitt Turner for fifty-seven years.

She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Ms. Chailendra Turner of Muscle Shoals and Ms. Patricia Turner of Town Creek; one son, Mr. Kendall Turner (Barbara) of Tuscumbia, AL; five grandchildren, Toccarra (Terry) Jackson of Decatur, Tabitha Turner of Town Creek, Jasmine Goodloe of Texas, Mariah Toney of Decatur and Kuzari Turner of Tuscumbia; two great grandchildren, Jaylen Harris and Alyric Jackson of Decatur; two sisters, Mrs. Callie Sue Wilson of Town Creek and Mrs. Sadie Mae Lynch of Leighton; three sisters-in-law, Edna Reed of Leighton, Willie Niva King (Earl) of Courtland and Annie Turner of Lexington, Massachusetts; three brothers-in-law, Leonard Turner of Town Creek, Willie Frank Cooper (Sylvia) of Shreveport, Louisiana and Onnie Cooper (Jeannie) of Muscle Shoals; two devoted nieces, Christy Coffee of Sheffield and Olivia Green (Jerry) of Town Creek, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
