Mark Hannah Dunavant Mark Hannah Dunavant of Campbellsville, Tennessee, passed away on December 19, 2021 at his home. He was born in Campbellsville, Tennessee on April 23, 1927. He was 94 years old.
Mr. Dunavant was a longtime farmer who engaged in a large operation with his brother, Joe, in Giles and Lawrence County. He was the Giles County Commissioner for 26 years, most of the time serving as Chairman Pro-Tem. He attended public school in Campbellsville and graduated from Morgan Prepatory School in Petersburg. He attended auburn university. Mark served in the artillery in the US Army during WWII occupation of Korea. He loved the Campbellsville Community where he loved to interact with the people. Mark’s membership at the Campbellsville United Methodist Church was a priority in his life.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Maplewood Cemetery with full military honors.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Mark and Mary Hannah Dunavant; His wife, Louise Colvin Dunavant; Infant son, Mark Colvin Dunavant; Brother, Joe Dunavant; Sister, Jane Dunavant; and Great Granddaughter, Lux Dunavant.
He is survived by
Son, Richard Dunavant of Pulaski, Tennessee
Daughters, Rosemary Dunavant (Danny) Martin of Campbellsville, Tennessee
Sally Dunavant Brindley of Pulaski, Tennessee
9 Grandchildren also survive.
