Marie Murphree Potter – Obituary

Marie Murphree Potter, 81, passed away at ECM Hospital on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018. She lived most all of her life in Franklin County and was a member of Cherry Hill Baptist Church. She was a devoted housewife and mother.

Visitation with family and friends will be Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, from noon until 2 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. with Rev. Jason Thorn and Dr. Jim Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Cherry Hill Cemetery, Russellville.

Mrs. Potter is survived by her son, Preston Potter; and brothers, James, Charles, Dwight, and Jerry Murphree; and a sister, Sue Nelson. A host of nieces, nephews, and friends also survive her.

Preceding her in death were her husband of 60 years, Elvert Potter; son, Richard Potter; and parents, Edward and Pauline Montgomery Murphree.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Cherry Hill Cemetery Fund in honor of Mrs. Potter.

Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, is directing.
