Funeral services for Marie Barbee Grimmett, 80, of Anderson, IN, will be at 2 p.m., Monday, March 30, 2015 at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Vernon Willis officiating with interment in Fairview West Cemetery.
Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Grimmett passed away Sunday, March 22nd, at Manor Care in Anderson, IN. She was born on July 5, 1934 in Cullman, to parents, William Roy and Florence Farr Barbee. She was a homemaker to her family and grandchildren. She loved to paint ceramics, and could sew anything from quilts to clothes. Most of all, she loved to cook for her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willis Gene Grimmett; daughters, Elizabeth Wable and Gloria Gene Grimmett; brothers, Alton Barbee, Elbert Barbee, and Emitt Barbee; sisters, Rachel Leipert and May Harvell
Survivors include her loving children, Clifton (Joy) Grimmett of Anderson, IN, Joyce Grimmett of Warsaw, IN and Nathan (Kim) Grimmett of Anderson, IN; grandchildren, Amanda Grimmett, Brandon Grimmett, Zachary Grimmett, Johnny Grimmett, Christopher Grimmett, Ann Grimmett, Heather Grimmett, Amy Grimmett and Shanon Campbell; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Barbee and Iona White; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
