Maria Theresa Bei of Pulaski, TN passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at her residence in Giles County. She was born on August 6, 1954, in Trenton, New Jersey, and was 71 years old.
Maria was a devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister. She honorably served her country in the United States Navy for eight years and was a graduate of Archbishop Ryan Catholic High School. A devout Christian, she lived her faith daily through kindness and service. After many years of dedicated employment with the Pulaski Post Office, she retired in 2017.
She was a hard worker, and succeeded in making a place her children could forever call “Home”. She found enjoyment in spending time outdoors, cutting grass, and relaxing by the pool. Above all, she valued and cherished time spent with her family.
Maria was preceded in death by her, parents, John E. Balog and Lucy Fonash; her brothers, John Balog, Robert Balog; and sisters Lucy Bossard, and Susanne Biache.
She is survived by her son, Alex Schaefer of Lynnville, Tennessee; her daughter, Alina Bei (Chase Hargrove) of Pulaski, Tennessee; her grandsons, John Robert Kimbrough and Colin Hargrove; her niece, Jennifer (Michael) Haddock of Columbia, Tennessee; her great-nieces, Lucy Haddock and Mary Haddock.
Additional survivors include, her sisters, Theresa (Herbert) Wagner of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Margie Balog of Monroeton, Pennsylvania; her brother, Paul Balog of Lakeland, Florida; and several other nieces and nephews also survive.
