Funeral Services for Mrs. Margie Nichols Harris, age 86 of Ashland, will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Benefield Funeral Home Ashland with Bro. Grant Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in Clay County Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Harris passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. She was a born in Randolph County but grew up and raised her family here in Clay County. Mrs. Margie enjoyed traveling and adored her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Delorise A. Pierce; son, Sonny Pierce and wife Michelle; four grandsons, Travis Pierce, Eric Pierce, Jared Pierce and Whitt Pierce; two great-grandsons, Layton Pierce and Stetson Pierce; and many nieces, nephews, and a large extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents: William and Viola Nichols; her husband, Orby Harris; son, Phillip Pierce; and 11 siblings.
Pallbearers will be William Mitchell, Jason Faulkner, Josh Nelson, Brian Mitchell, Barry Rollins and Johnny Mitchell.
Her visitation will take place on Saturday before the service, May 30, 2026 at Benefield Funeral Home Ashland beginning at 10:00 A.M. until service time at 11:00 A.M.
