Margie Elizabeth Cummings Tippett, age 74, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016, in Lawrenceburg.
Visitation will be today, 4-8 p.m. at the home of L.T. Cummings, 1185 Co. Rd. 224, Florence, Alabama. Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 5, 1 p.m., at Mt. Zion Church of Christ with Brother Larry Creekmore officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her four grandsons, Matt Borden, Jesse Borden, Woody Toothman and Wesley Toothman, with Jeff Dial and James Matthews.
Mrs. Tippett was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Gene Tippett; two grandchildren, Brittany Renee Childress and Justin Ray Childress; her parents, Thomas and Lucille (Bo) Cummings; and siblings, a baby brother and sister, Doris Dickens.
Survivors include her four children, Jennifer Borden, Danny Tippett, Ronda Childress, and Amy Toothman; sons-in-law, Odell Borden, Jamie Childress, and David Brown; grandchildren, Ashley Dial and husband ,Jeff, Matt Borden and wife, Whitney, Jesse Borden, Brandy Matthews and husband, James, Andi Tippett, Woody Toothman, and Wesley Toothman; great-grandchildren, Presley Dial, Gracelyn McFall, Mattox Borden, Harley Borden, Kailee Matthews, Kate Williams and Walker Williams and one on the way, MacKenzie Matthews; and siblings, L.T. Cummings and wife, Hazel, Peggy Faulkner, Brenda Cummings, and Bobby Cummings.
