Margaret “Maggie” Louise Christopher, 44, of Athens, AL, died Sunday, August 30 in Athens, AL.
She was born October 26 in Montgomery, AL, the only daughter of Margaret Juanice Talmadge Barnes and Tony David Christopher. She was sassy and rambunctious as a child and wild as a teenager, and she never quite lost that fire.
Maggie had a smile and a laugh that could light up a room. She loved being active and outdoors, and she loved to travel (though she didn’t do it enough). She also loved going to the beach with her family. She could be the life of the party, though she was an introvert at heart and needed her quiet hours to recharge. She was fiercely loyal to the people she loved. She wanted to take care of everyone, just as her grandfather did, and she was no-nonsense and direct, just like her grandmother. Maggie will be missed!
A memorial service will be held from 10 AM – 11 AM, Sunday September 6 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the North American Butterfly Association in Maggie’s honor ( naba.org )
