Margaret Ann Smith, 85, of Lexington, passed away June 18, 2025, at North Alabama Medical Center in Florence. She was retired from the banking business and as the longtime office manager for the Lauderdale County Waste Management Department, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Lexington. Survivors include: Son: Nathan Smith (Teresa) Daughter: Amy Crunk Brother: James O. Duke (Shelby) Grandchildren: Christina Keenum, Christopher Crunk, Chad Crunk, Josh Henkel, Nakea Townsend, Ben Smith, Audrey Burnett, Angela Smith, Kayla Patterson, & Andrew Patterson (20) Great grandchildren Numerous Nieces & nephews Preceded in death by: Husband: James Robert Smith Father: Morris Duke Mother: Addie Lee Duncan Duke Son: Russell Smith Daughter: Penny Smith Henkel Sister: Katherine Duke Sons-in-law: Mike Crunk & Anthony “Bud” Henkel A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at 2:00pm, at First Baptist Church of Lexington.
