Margaret Ann Lawrence, 87 of Athens, passed away on Monday, September 23rd, 2024, at her residence. Mrs. Lawrence was born on December 11th, 1936, in Rogersville, Alabama, to Irby Lee Jewell and Alice Bost Jewell.
Mrs. Lawrence is survived by her daughters Regina Grba and Angie Castleberry (Bill); grandchildren Donnie Kellum, Chad Davis (Gudrun), and Scott Castleberry (Mariyana); 6 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Woodrow Lawrence; son-in-law Eli Grba; 7 brothers and sisters; and her beloved fur baby Raggs.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lawrence will be Friday, September 27th, 2024, at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Steve Ferguson officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 12:00-1:45pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at New Salem Cemetery.
Mrs. Lawrence was a special lady. She loved to go on shopping trips and enjoyed being with her family and watching Auburn football and MLB baseball. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
