Marcus Dylan Ogletree, 57, of Cherokee, AL. passed away on July 28, 2026. Visitation will be Friday July 31, from 5-7 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home Cherokee.
Marcus was born on July 14,1969 in Sheffield, AL. He spent his life hanging vinyl with the last 10 years being spent with Jagris Inc.
Above all else, Marcus was a loving father. His greatest joy in life was his children, Joshua and Christiana. Some of his happiest memories were spent on either the football or baseball field where he proudly coached his son. Whether he was throwing balls for batting practice, calling plays or cheering from the sidelines, Marcus treasured every moment he shared with his kids.
Marcus is survived by his two children, Joshua Dylan Ogletree and Christiana Elaine Ogletree; his sisters, Loretta Richardson and Donna-Kay Nix; his grandchildren, Carson Goodman and Karter Holiday.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harmon and Marie Ogletree; brothers, Joseph and Johnny Ogletree; and sister Amanda Borden.
He will be remembered for his love for his kids, dogs and his passion for sports.
