Marcus Alton Johns, 98, of Florence, passed away December 31, 2024, at his residence. He was a produce merchandiser and a member of Sherrod Avenue Church of Christ. Survivors include: Wife of 75 years: Frances Wright Johns Son: Michael Johns (Chris) Daughters: Janet Bowers & Regina Cook (Stan) (6) grandchildren; (9) great grandchildren Preceded in death by: Parents: Vernon Jackson Johns & Reba Hine Johns Brothers: Elvin Johns, Cledith Johns, Waylon Johns Sisters: Effie Beavers, Lucille Quillen, Joyce Bowman Visitation will be Friday, January 3, 2025, from 11:00am – 1:00 pm, at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:00pm, in the funeral home chapel, with Justin Pannell officiating. Burial will be at Shiloh Cemetery.
