Man Charged With Possession Of A Forged Instrument…More Charges Pending

ATHENS-The Athens Police Chief Floyd Johnson released a statement regarding forged checks on a Bank Independent account:

“Our department was contacted in January of this year by the security department of Bank Independent. They had cashed several forged checks between July of 2015 and January of 2016.

Investigator Bret Constable investigated the case and obtained a warrant for Adam Ray Clark for possession of a forged instrument 2nd degree. Clark was arrested Friday evening on the warrant. Clark was booked at the police department and transferred to the county jail. Other cases involving Clark will be presented to an upcoming Grand Jury.”
