HARTSELLE-Hartselle Police arrested a man on terrorist threats.  The Hartselle Police Department released this statement:

“On February 29, 2016, an unknown male called the Central 911 Dispatch and made a verbal threat toward Officers of the Hartselle Police Department. HPD Investigators were able to identify the suspect as John Compton.

Investigators were informed that Compton was currently out of town, but were later notified that he had returned to his residence in Hartselle unexpectedly. Officers made contact with Compton at his residence and took him into custody without incident.

Compton was transported to the Morgan County Jail and booked in on a $500,000.00 bond for the offense of making a Terrorist Threat.
