Mamie Lou Baggett, 91, died Sunday, March 20, 2016, at her residence. She was born in Franklin County, Alabama to Robert and Mary Williams Davis. She was a homemaker and member of Hodges Convention Baptist Church.
Services will be Wednesday, March 23, 2 p.m., at Hodges Convention Baptist Church with Brother Thomas Thornton officiating. Burial will be in Holly Springs Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Alabama, will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her daughter, Pam Clement, of Muscle Shoals, Alabama; four sons, Charles Baggett (Angela), of Valdosta, Georgia, Carl Baggett (Diane), of Red Bay, Alabama, Kenneth Baggett (Juanita), of Moulton, Alabama, and David Baggett (Donna) of Hodges, Alabama; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Evie Jane Brooks and Faye McCarley, both of Moulton, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Baggett; son, Hilton Baggett; daughter, Marie Brown; son-in-law, Terry Clement; sister, Amy Baggett; three brothers, Clinton Davis, Lester Davis, and Shelby Davis; and stepbrother, James Ed Davis.
Pallbearers will be Curtis Baggett, Kevin Baggett, Brett Crow, Danny Brooks, Truman Scott, and Colton Hill.
Visitation will be today 6-8 p.m., at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Alabama, and she will lie-in-state Wednesday at the church from noon-2 p.m.
