Malcolm Irl Taylor, age 92, of Ryland, passed away on Tuesday April 30, 2013.
Mr. Taylor was a lifelong resident of the Ryland Community and a longtime employee of Ashburn and Gray Co. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the US Army. Mr. Taylor is preceded in death by his parents, Wessie Irl and Loretta Maud Taylor; his sister Maudine Styles; and his brothers, Kenneth and Blain Taylor.
Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife of 66 years, Cleo Taylor; his children, Joyce Chappell and husband Benny, and Carol Turner and husband Billy; his grandchildren, Valoree Watkins and husband Greg, Vanessa Goff and husband Steven, and Orry Turner and wife Lindsay; and his great grandchildren, Kayleigh and Cranston Watkins, and Justin, Kacey, and Anna Goff.
Funeral services will be on Friday May 3, 2013 at 1 pm at Shiloh United Methodist Church with Charles McCay officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery. The family will receive friends on that day from 12pm until 1pm at the church.
Serving as pallbearers will be Orry Turner, Greg Watkins, Steven Goff, Richard Parton, Nathan Miller, and Jackie Isbell. Family and friends will serve as honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shiloh UMC Cemetery Fund or to the charity of your choice.
