David Christopher “Chris” Austin, age 46, of Rogersville, went to be with the Lord April 30, 2013. Chris was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He loved Jesus as his savior and witnessed to all that knew him. He was a member of Springfield Baptist Church. Philippians 4:67; Isaiah 40:31.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 2, 2013 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Friday, May 3, 2013 at 2 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Brother Audie Bogus and Brother Ronnie Ray officiating. Burial will follow at Wesley’s Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Austin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Douglas C. Austin, and Edward and Irene Williams.
He is survived by his wife, Paula Allen Austin; parents, Paul Robert Austin, Sr. and Helen Williams Austin; brothers, Bobby, Mike and Greg Austin; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Randy and Jamie Allen; grandmother, Ruth Austin; special nieces and nephew, Bradie Lewter, Chelsea Nobles, Kaile Allen, and Jaren Allen; great nephew, Bentley Holt. Chris had a host of friends.
Active pallbearers will be Ronnie Ray, Lance Austin, Keith Montgomery, Randy Allen, Dennis Bain, and John Venters.
Honorary pallbearers will be his co-workers at Builders Choice.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shoals Save -A-Life or the American Cancer Society.

My heart goes out to this dear family. I don’t know all of them, but the ones I do know are great examples to all of us. I have worked with Paula and had some great times with her. She is truly a wonderful person and an inspiration to all. May God be with each of the family and comfort them as only he can.
