RED BAY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident near Red Bay has taken the life of a Madison man and sent one other person to hospital:
“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 5 p.m. Thursday, February 12, has claimed the life of a Madison man.
Arthur L. Brackett, 62, of Madison, was fatally injured when the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover he was a passenger in left the roadway, stuck an embankment and overturned. Arthur L. Brackett was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Range Rover, Shelia N. Brackett, 59, of Madison, was injured and transported to Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield for medical treatment.
The crash occurred on Alabama 24 near the five mile-marker, approximately three miles east of Red Bay, in Franklin County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
