Funeral services for Mr. Williams will be 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, 2017, at First Missionary Baptist Church, Russellville, Alabama.
Reverend B.J. Bonner is officiating.
Burial is in Fairview Cemetery, Russellville, Alabama.
The body will be placed in the church at noon.
The public viewing will be Sunday, 1-8 p.m.
Thompson and Son Funeral Home, Tuscumbia, is directing.
Machi Jamal Williams, 11-years-old, was born Aug. 31, 2005, in Russellville, Alabama. He passed from this walk of life Jan. 1, 2017.
Machi was a student at Russellville Middle School where he was adored by all his teachers. Machi was the light of his family’s life and will be greatly missed by them all. He touched the hearts of everyone he met.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Samuel Kimbrough; grandfather, Anthony Winston; great-grandfathers, Richard Williams Sr. and Harlan B. Winston Sr.; great-grandmother, Hattie Winston; and great-aunts, Carrie Roy and Lula Addison.
He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Demita Williams, and one brother, Major Murray, both of Russellville, Alabama; grandmothers, Charlotte Winston, Florence, Alabama, and Barbara Williams, Russellville, Alabama; great-great-grandmother, Ella Mae Williams, Russellville, Alabama; three aunts: Michelle Jones, Florence, Alabama, Franchesca Randolph, and Jasmine Williams, Decatur, Alabama; three uncles, Damien Williams, Jeremy Williams and Justin Williams, all of Russellville, Alabama; great-aunt, Etta Russell, Florence, Alabama; four great-uncles, Richard Williams Jr., Harlan Lindsey (Linda) Winston, Russellville, Alabama, John (Linda) Williams, Muscle Shoals, Alabama, and Fred William, Florence, Alabama; a very special family friend, Clarence Jones; a special cousin, Bridgette Hamilton Bates; and a host of great-great-aunts, great-great-uncle, cousins, and other relatives.
