Katherine Holden Carter, age 92, passed away Jan. 2, 2017. Visitation will be Sunday, Jan. 8, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Larry Harper officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Carter; parents, Johnnie and Olga Holden; sister, Lyzenia Walker; and brothers, Cecil and Herbert Holden.
She is survived by her children, Randy Carter (Kathleen), Earl Carter (Ary), and Kathy Nelson; grandchildren, Damian Nelson, Betsy Carter, Torie Carter, and Jonathan Carter; and great-grandson, Jordan Robert Brown.
