Mable Marie Wooten, 79, passed away on March 27, 2026 at NMMC in Iuka, MS. She was born September 28, 1946 in Colbert County, Alabama. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and worked as a seamstress for Golden Manufacturing for 30 years.
Funeral service will be held Sunday, March 29, at 3 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, MS with Bro. Brandon Sparks and Bro. Franky Smith officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, March 28, 2026 from 5-9 p.m.at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS. Burial will be in Dennis Memory Gardens. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her son, Tim Wooten (Melissa); daughter, Kim Pettigo; three grandchildren, Tia Nichols (Mark), Chasen Rosser (Chyanne) and Zach Wooten (Anna Brooke); five great-grandchildren, Alannah, Adalynn and Ainslee Storment, Gavi Nichols and Branson Wooten; one brother, Donald Berryman (Carol) and three sisters, Joyce Ables (Mike), Kathy Vinson (Herschel) and Shirley Dick (Barney).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nolen and Katherine Kilpatrick Berryman; her husband, W.D. Wooten and three brothers, Wayne, William and David Berryman.
Pallbearers will be Zach Wooten, Chasen Rosser, Dustin Dick, Brandon Dick, Chris Wooten and Mark Nichols.
