Luverne Burnell Carroll, fondly known as “Pops”, 94, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away on October 28, 2025. He was born on March 23, 1931, in Wimbledon, North Dakota, to the late Fritz and Mae (Slette) Grahn.
Luverne was a kind, loving, and devoted man who took great pride in his family. He loved returning to his high school reunions and enjoyed riding his Harley. He enjoyed spending time with family and was a devoted husband to his wife of 44 years, Margaret.
Luverne is survived by his wife, Margaret Carroll; children, Judy (Jimmy) Muncher, Kathy (Pete) Gardino, and Brad (Janice) Carroll; stepchildren, Charles (Patti) Sullivan and Carey Sullivan; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandsons, David Campbell and Nicholas Gardino.
Pallbearers will be Brad Carroll, Pete Gardino, Matt Campbell, Adam Sullivan, Derrick Sullivan, and Carey Sullivan.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
