Luther Howard “Bone” Wiltshire – Obituary

Luther Howard “Bone” Wiltshire, 91, died May 22, at Crestwood Medical Center in Huntsville, AL.  He was born January 30, 1922 in Carroll County, MS.  He was a brick mason and a veteran of the US Air Force serving during WWII.  He enjoyed spending time at the Tishomingo State Park.

Funeral services will be Sunday, May 26 at 5:00 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont with Bro. Greg Forbus and Buddy Wiltshire officiating.  Burial will be in the Sand Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.  Deaton Funeral Home Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.

He is survived two daughters-Linda Dawn Wiltshire of Columbus, OH and Sandra Fawn Fields of Aurora, CO; one son-Randy Scott Wiltshire of Jackson Hole, WY; five grandchildren-Lt. William Christopher Howard McBride (Cheryl), Catherine Louise Roswell (Ewan), Cheri Leianne McBride-Moon (Arlo), Kelly Dardis (Ken) and Angie Fields; eight great grandchildren-Gage and Bradley McBride, Liam and Elizabeth Roswell, William McBride and Zachariah Moon; nieces and nephews-Jeannie “Doodle” Potts, Gayle “BeBe” Lewis, Jerry Curtis Streetman, Phyllis Strickland, Sylvia Chamblee, Dixie Griffin, Buddy Wiltshire and Donna McAnally; numerous great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents-Jake Pickens and Jennie Greer Wiltshire; four brothers and sisters-Frank Pickens Wiltshire, Henry Andrew Wiltshire, Minnie Streetman and George Lee Wiltshire.

Visitation will be from 3:30-5 p.m. Sunday, May 26 at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Tishomingo County Adult Day Care, P.O. Box 335, Dennis, MS  38838.
