Lula Weeks, age 91, Spruce Pine, Alabama passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2013.
Visitation will be from 10-12 p.m. Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Akins Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted at 12 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. John McCullar officiating. Burial will follow in Franklin Memory Garden.
Pallbearers will be nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Columbus Weeks; parents, Richard and Ada Motes; sisters, Zennie Dye, twin sister Eula Smith, Dallas Thompson Briley, Rachel Ergle, Mildred Matthews, Maudrey Newell; brother, Foy Motes.
She is survived by sons, Hershel Weeks and wife Jeri, J.T. Weeks and wife Debra, Billy Weeks and wife Bonnie; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sisters, Verdie Hood, Othelia Baker; brother, David Motes and wife Mary Jo; sister-in-law, Willodean Motes.
