Lula Gay Jones, 83 of Arab Alabama died Friday December 16, 2016 in Harvest Alabama.
Mrs. Jones was born February 27, 1933 in West Virginia to Wilbert Lawson and Flossie Jackson Lawson. She worked as a dining room hostess for Wendy’s. She enjoyed her family, loved working and spending time with her customers and she loved gospel singing. Her husband Clyde C. Jones preceded her in death on December 27, 1998.
She was a member of Valhermoso Springs Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children, step children and in-laws: Michael DeLoss Smith, William C. Jones, Patricia and Tim Stafford, Virginia Gay and Jody Roberts, Judy Ford, Nancy Meadows and Peggy Shannon; twenty grandchildren and twenty four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde C. Jones.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday December 19, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Fowlkes Cemetery in Monrovia Alabama with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Chazz Calvert, Adam Stafford, Lucus Roberts, Craig Halligan, Corey Jones and Ray Jones.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
