Lucille “Tot” Byrd, 86, of Tuscumbia died March 29, 2013. Visitation will be Sunday, March 31, 2013 at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia from 1:30-3 p.m. with the funeral service following. Bro A.G. Stepp and Dr. Kenneth Rose will be officiating, with burial at Colbert Memorial Gardens.
“Tot” was a native of Franklin County and the oldest member of Little Bear Creek Baptist Church. She loved being Granny B, Sewing and activities with her church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Claudie Byrd; daughter, Patsy Byrd; brothers, Fred, Wilson, Parmer and W.A. Claunch.
She is survived by daughters, Linda Wright (Dale) and Susan Cochran (Dale); grandchildren Claudia Askew (Jeff), Whitney Cochran; great-grandchild Houston Askew; sister, Louise Glen.
Pallbearers will be Steve, Chris, and Wayne Claunch, W.C., Joe, and Ray James.
The family of Mrs. Byrd would like to give a special thanks to Hospice of North Alabama caregivers, Laura Gann, Tina West, and Dr. Kenneth Rose.
