Lucille Pearson Wills, age 86 of Dalton, Illinois (formerly of Cowan) passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021. She was born in Bass, Alabama on May 21, 1935 to the late William Pural and Princess Rice Pearson. The family will always remember her outgoing personality, caring nature, and her beautiful smile. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Danny Wills and Donald Wills; brothers, Bayne Ausbon Pearson, and John William “J.W.” Pearson; and sisters, Cletus Dewayne Matt of Lansing, Illinois, and Syble Gray. Lucille is survived by her children, Debbie Wills Flynt of Dalton, Illinois, and Dennis (Cathy) Wills of Tinley Park, Illinois; grandchildren, Sarah Sokol of Monteno, Illinois, Joey Wills of Harvey, Illinois, Thomas John “T.J.” Wills of Tinley Park, Illinois; and Daniel Wills of Harvey, Illinois; and sisters, Orilla Dean Pearson of Stevenson, Alabama, Alma Ruth (Patsy) Mosley of Joliet, Illinois, and Wanda Pearson of Winchester. Private family visitation and burial will be held with Chaplain Todd Coutta officiating and interment at Cowan Montgomery Cemetery.
