Louise Brown Howton, 100 of Dora, passed away Sunday March 22, 2026.
She was a member of West Jefferson Baptist Church. She loved to quilt and was a wonderful cook.
She was preceded in death by her husband Felix “Pete” Howton, who she met when he was visiting his aunt and uncle, and he became friends with her brother. She was also preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Lee Howton and her parents, George and Ola Brown.
Survivors include her daughter, Belinda Henderson and husband Steve; grandchildren, Holly Evans (John) and Heidi Powell (Jimmy); great grandchildren, Jackson Evans, Harris Powell, Elliott Powell, Pete Powell and Erynn Powell; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be Thursday March 26, 2026 at 11:00 am in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Rev. John Michael Colburn will officiate. Burial will follow in Montevallo City Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 10-11 am.
