Louis Earl Gray, 84, of Gadsden, Alabama, passed away on July 4, 2026. Born September 21, 1941, Louis lived a life marked by steady devotion—to faith, to family, and to the simple, enduring joys of the outdoors.
Louis graduated from Glencoe High School and later worked at the Gadsden Goodyear Tire Plant. He was also a founding member of North Glencoe Baptist Church, a commitment that reflected a life grounded in belief and community.
Louis enjoyed deer hunting and time spent outdoors. When hunting season ended, he found equal pleasure in the open road—taking his wife on many different motorcycle trips, from Canada to Hawaii, and even to see Elvis. These travels spoke to a spirit that valued shared experiences and the kind of companionship built over a lifetime.
Louis is survived by his wife of 63 years, Becky Gray; his sister, Janet Lowther; his brother-in-law, Al Lowther; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Louis Gray and Glayds Lambert Gray.
