Louis Christian Knoell, Jr. – Obituary

Louis Christian Knoell, Jr., 87, Madison, passed away on Monday. Mr. Knoell was a retired veteran of the United States Marine Corps with 41 years of service to his country, having attained the rank of Master Gunnery Sargent. He served during the Vietnam War. He was a lifetime member and was a Past Commandant of the Brandon Wilburn Detachment of The Marine Corps League . He is survived by his wife, Louise C. Knoell of Meridianville, AL; two daughters, Kathleen Knoell Fitzgerald (Donald) of Hazel Green, AL Sharon Knoell McGraw (David) of Madison, AL; three sons, Louis Christian Knoell III (Angie) of Madison, AL, Kevin H. Knoell of New Market, AL, Randall David Knoell, Sr. (Heather) of Gainesville, GA; brother, Thomas John Creaney Knoell of Brigantine, NJ; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 – 12:00 p.m. at Faith Chapel with a funeral service following at 12:00 p.m. Bro. Joel McGraw will be officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family.
