Funeral Services for Mrs. Lou Worthy, age 91 of Lineville, will be held on Monday, February 7, 2022 at Olive Branch Baptist Church at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Richie Farrow, Rev. Mike Worthy, and Rev. Jerry Colquett officiating. A private burial will follow at the Clay County Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Worthy passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at her home. A lifelong resident of Clay County, she spent her life working at multiple locations. She was a Seamstress at Higgins Slacks for the longest amount of time, an inspector at Southland, and was an administrative assistant at Jordan’s Petroleum. Outside of work, she enjoyed working in her flower beds and cooking large meals for her family every Sunday night. She became a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church in 1956, and had taught adult Sunday school for a number of years. Her family was her life, and she thoroughly enjoyed loving on her grandbabies.

Mrs. Worthy is survived by four daughters: Janice Stephens (David) of Delta, Joyce Ogle and Joan Foster, both of Lineville, and Jodi Cotney (Steve) of Millerville; one son, Rev. Mike Worthy (Sharon) of Maylene; one son in law, Ray Milstead of Lineville; 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Sarah Bryant and Christine Patterson, both of Ashland; one brother, Wilford (Noble) Triplett of Lineville; plus several nieces, nephews, and a large extended family.

She is precede in death by her parents: Marvin Jefferson and Onnie Mae Craft Triplett; her husband, Otto Worthy; one daughter, Linda Milstead; two son in laws: Ronald Ogle and Doug Foster; one grandson, Sawyer Worthy; one great-grandson, Fletcher McMyler; and one brother, Theron Triplett.

Active Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Chris Lee, Josh Jordan, Chase Jordan, Zach Jordan, Richard Blair, Ricky Crawford, and Andy Lipham.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the deacons of Olive Branch Baptist Church, Chip East, and Brian Amason.

Her visitation will take place on Monday, February 7, 2022 at Olive Branch Baptist Church from 11:00 A.M. until service time at 1:00 P.M.
