Phillips Small
September 15, 1934 – March 22, 2021
Passed away on Monday, March 22, at the age of 86. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Ben A. Small and their children Ben A. Small, Jr. (Denise) and grandsons, Ethan and Christopher of Thompsons Station, TN and Susan E. Small of Atlanta, GA. One of nine children survived by her sister, Alma Phillips Strickland of Four Oaks, NC and several nieces and nephews. Born in Dunn, NC; graduated from Dunn Highschool; and graduated from Highsmith School of Nursing in Fayetteville, NC. She enjoyed over 40 years as a caring and dedicated Registered Nurse in OBGYN finishing her rewarding career at Huntsville Hospital in 1996. She was a devoted member of Huntsville First United Methodist Church. A private graveside service for the family will be at Maple Hill Cemetery. Memorials in honor and memory may be made to Huntsville First United Methodist Church.
