A Celebration of Life service for Lonnie Gene Carney, 46 of Corinth, MS, is set for Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 2:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with interment to follow at Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 11:00 A M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home. Bro. Steven Ludlam will officiate the service. Mr. Carney passed away Monday, November 6, 2017 at his residence. He was born May 17, 1971 in Iuka, MS to Lewis Edward Carney and Reval Ann Kiddy Carney. He was a disabled carpenter and vinyl siding installer. Lonnie was of the Christian faith was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Michelle Carney of Corinth, MS; his brother, Larry Carney and wife Carol of Corinth, MS; his sister, Linda Carney of Corinth, MS; his mother-in-law, Betty Sue Rogers of Corinth, MS; his brother-in-law, Kevin Rogers and wife Hayle of Corinth, MS; his nephews, Cody Killough and Dylan Rogers; his niece, Zoey Rogers; other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Carney; his mother, Reval Ann Kiddy Carney; his brother, Lawrence Carney and his father-in-law, Dwayne Rogers. Pallbearers will be Kevin Rogers, Adrian Dildy, Jay Childers, James Childers, Shad Bronson and James Kuykendall. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Lonnie Gene Carney.
