The Funeral Service for Lois Louise Carpenter (Creasy), 84, of Florence will be 2 PM, Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Greenview Funeral Home. A visitation will be from 1-2PM prior to the service on Saturday. Jeron Williams will officiate the service.

Mrs. Carpenter passed away on October 24, 2023 with her family by her side. She was born August 11, 1939, to Marcus McKinley Creasy and Clora Strait Creasy in Cloverdale, AL. She graduated from Central High School, class of 1957. Lois was dedicated employee of Tee Jays Manufacturing Co. for over 20 years. Above all else, she was a devoted mother and grandmother who delighted in spending time with family.
Lois was known for her selflessness and tenacity and described as the cornerstone of her family, a “steadfast rock.” She maintained her tenacity and nurturing spirit even through her lengthy battle against dementia. Throughout life, Lois drew great strength, joy and comfort from her family and her faith in Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Lard (Charles) and Patricia Williams (Troy), her son, Michael Carpenter (Charlotte); her grandchildren, Clint Patterson (Alex), Jeron Williams (Sheryl), Josh Williams (Tamiya), Stephen Hart, Julia King (Tony), Kris Lard, Molly West (Kerry) and Monica LeMaster (Sam); her great grandchildren, Peyton and Cooper Hart, Alyssa, Josiah and Sebastian Williams, Scarlett and Colt West, Remi LeMaster; her nieces, Patricia Goodman, Sonya O’Shields and other family members.
Ms. Carpenter (Creasy) was preceded in death by both parents; her brothers, Jim, Vernon, Leslie, Herschel, Arvel, and Carl Creasy; her sisters, Alma Creasy Hyde, Ruth Creasy Needham and an infant sister.
The Pallbearers will be Clint Patterson, Jeron Williams, Joshua Williams, Brandon White, Tony King, Kerry West, Sam LeMaster and Stephen Hart.
Lois’s family would like to give a special thanks to the amazing staff at Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home who were dedicated to caring for her since early 2021.
