Lloyd Whitaker Profile PhotoA Celebration of Life Service for Lloyd Whitaker, 74, of Iuka, MS will be Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 11 AM at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel officiated by Bro. Billy Glover with interment to follow in Cypress Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, November 20, 2023 from 5-8 PM at Magnolia Funeral Home – East. Pallbearers include Christian Bonds, Jayden Hastings, George Turner, Chris Marlar, Derek Barber, and Cash Hyde. Lloyd was a member of Mt. Joy Baptist Church and dedicated a significant portion of his life to managing the Tishomingo County Landfill. Beyond his professional achievements, Lloyd’s legacy lies in the profound impact he had on his family. He cherished his loved ones immensely and considered them to be the apple of his eye. His devotion and love were unwavering, providing them with a strong foundation of support and inspiration throughout their lives. Outside of work and family, Lloyd was an avid NASCAR fan and held a deep passion for the Ole Miss Rebels. Lloyd will be remembered for his friendly nature, welcoming smile, and willingness to lend a helping hand whenever needed. The sudden passing of Lloyd Whitaker has left a void in the lives of those who knew him best. However, they can find solace in reflecting upon the invaluable memories he created during his time with them. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Betty Tucker Whitaker; his daughter, Christy Hastings and husband Chris; his grandchildren, Christian Bonds (Juliana) and Kelsey Bonds; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Nancy Tigner Whitaker; his brothers, Floyd Whitaker and Donald Whitaker; and his sisters, Olen Hart, Montez Epperson, Bonnie Fisher, Billy Harris, Mildred White, and Linda Perkins.
