Lloyd “Possum” Jeffreys, 81 of Tuscumbia, died Friday, April 20, 2018. His family will receive friends Monday, April 23rd from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Brother Ricky Zahnd officiating. The burial will be in the church cemetery.
“Possum” was a native of Colbert County, a carpenter with B H Craig Contruction, and a member of Carpenter’s Local #109.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Austin and Lillie Jeffreys and five brothers.
“Possum” is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lillie Jeffreys; sons, Greg, Lowell, and Letroy Jeffreys all of Tuscumbia; brothers, James, Buddy, and Jerry Jeffreys; sisters, Lennice Wiley and Edith Jezek; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
