Liona Y. Chaney 89, of Tuscumbia passed away Wednesday December 30, 2015. Visitation will be anytime Friday Jan. 1, 2016 until noon on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016 at Peggy’s residence in Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be 2:00 pm Saturday at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. Doug Dickson will officiate. Burial will follow in King Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his wife Nellie Hayes Chaney; parents Thomas and Lillian Chaney; son Ricky Allen Chaney; brothers Ed and Nolan Chaney; and sisters Pauline Sims and Ann Lou Beavers.
Survivors are his sons Terry Chaney, Dennis (Genese) Chaney, Tom (Sue) Chaney, and Bradley Chaney; daughters Shirley Trenholm and Peggy Johnson; sister Christine Smith; fifteen grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Chris and Brandon Patterson, Skylar Nelson, Logan Johnson, Jandro Pavey, and Allen, William and David Chaney.
