Linda Rue Cleveland Jackson, 72, went to be with her Heavenly Father Monday, September 11, 2023 at the Red Bay Hospital. She was born in Fairview, MS to Clarence and Earline Wood Cleveland. She was a devout follower of Jesus, a cosmetologist, floral designer, person of many beautiful talents, loving wife, the most loving Mom, caretaker and supporter of all those she loved and encountered. She was a steadfast cheerleader of her family and for all who needed anything. She was pure love. She was a member of Red Bay Church of Christ.
Services will be Saturday, September 16, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Scott Webster officiating. Burial will be in Red Bay City Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-three years – Grover Lee Jackson; daughters – Jennifer Bodnar (Rick) and Leigh Dias (Dwight); grandchildren – Rafe Bodnar, Gabriel Dias, Rebecca, Claire and Martha Bodnar and families; brothers – Charlie Cleveland (Bessie), Dennis Brown, Terry Mazzulla (Teri) and Charlie Mazzula (Pam); sister – Judy Milkent (Dave), step-dad – Luigi Mazzulla; sisters-in-law – Ivie Long, Martha Jackson, Eddie Liebert, Peggy Bourgeois (George) and Jetty Jackson and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and the pets which she adored.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Betty Lee, step-mom, Lindell Cleveland, brother, Johnny Brown (Marsha); brothers-in-law, Albert Junior Jackson (Louise), Charles Jackson (Kat) and Bill Jackson and sister-in-law, Ruth Adkison (Jerry).
Pallbearers will be Reggie Cleveland, Randall Sullivant, Drew Provins, Brandon Ponce, Clarence Jeffries and Ryan Tyler. Honorary pallbearers will be Rafe Bodnar, Gabriel Dias, Mike Jackson, Tom Jackson, George Bourgeois, Doug Cates, Stephen Funderburk and Wayne Butcher.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 16, 12-2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
