Funeral service for Linda K. Ferguson, 74, will be Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, May 9, 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ferguson died on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at Decatur Health & Rehab Center. She was born November 10, 1951 , in Morgan County to Alvin Russell Knight and Dora Annie Barnes Knight.
Mrs. Ferguson graduated from Austin High School in 1971 and had a year at National Career College in Decatur. She retired from Vinson Security as a Security Guard.
Linda enjoyed shopping especially at thrift stores and yard sales. “If she had a dollar, she’d spend $5.00 trying to figure out how to spend it”, (from her son-in-law, Dewayne).

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and A.D. Knight, her husband, Marvin L. Ferguson, a brother, Clifton Knight, Brother-in-laws, Joe Anders & Bruce McDonald and her six babies (dogs).
Survivors include
Son – Robert Ashley (April)
Daughter – Melinda Thompson (Dewayne)
Sisters – Joyce Jenkins (Ricky), Johnnie Anders and Rita McDonald.
Grandchildren – Whitney Wigginton (Jake), Marcus Thompson (Olivia),
Austin Ashley (Cheyanne), Courtney McLemore (Krissy), and Lydia Ashley (Dominic).
Great Grandchildren – Jaxon Nichols, Kyler Thompson, Ryleigh Wigginton, and Kayden Thompson.
A slew of Nieces & Nephews.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
