Linda Joyce Tutor, 79, passed away Monday, March 10, 2025, at Magnolia Manor in Tupelo, MS. The first of five children, Linda was born on November 12, 1945, to Laton and Louise Stewart Tutor, in Louisiana. She married and had two wonderful sons Chris Herring and Steve Herring. Linda worked for the Pentagon for 30 years. After her retirement, she moved back home to spend the remainder of her life with her loved ones.
Survivors include her 2 sons, Chris Herring (Michelle) and Steve Herring, 2 sisters, Jane Tutor and June Rankin, her grandchildren, MaKayla Herring (Noah Payne), Christian Herring (Stevie), Lexi Herring (Simon Freiley), Jenna Herring, Abby Herring, and Jaxon Herring, and her great grandchildren, Josiah Herring and Dylan Freiley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Laton A. and Mary Louise Stewart Tutor, brother, John Tutor, and her grandson, Dylan Herring.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 10:30AM at Harmony Baptist Church at the conclusion of the visitation a funeral service will be held at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Jason Davis officiating.
Pallbearers will be Tim Ball, Christian Herring, Jaxon Herring, Noah Payne, Jacob Ball, and Chris Herring.
