Linda Jennings Linda Jennings, age 80, of Crossville, Alabama, passed away on February 4, 2024. She was born on September 25, 1943, to the late Vester and Mary Cochran. Linda was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and cherished memories.
Linda was an active and devoted member of First Baptist Church of Albertville for over 20 years, where her warm spirit and dedication to the community were felt by all. She and her husband were part of a gospel quartet in their younger years, using their musical talents to uplift and inspire others.
Together, Linda and her husband enjoyed a life filled with adventure. They shared a passion for travel, camping, and family beach outings. In her younger years, Linda found joy in sewing, tending to her garden, and preserving the bounty through canning. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family, as she delighted in spending time with friends and being surrounded by the laughter and company of others.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Vester Jennings, her daughter Samantha (Chuck) Clark, her son Vester “Van” (Jennifer) Jennings, and her grandchildren Bevin (Harrison) Gambill, Caroline Clark, Steven, Sydnee and Savanna Jennings. She also leaves behind great-grandchild Vivienne Reynolds Gambill. Linda is remembered fondly by her brother, Joe (Claudia) Cochran, and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service to celebrate Linda’s life will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home, with Bro. Chris Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 11:00 am. Linda will be laid to rest at Memory Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to First Baptist Church of Albertville, 309 East Main Street, Albertville, Alabama 35950, or SouthernCare New Beacon Hospice, 412 South 5th Street, Gadsden, AL 35901, in honor of Linda’s memory. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love and memories she created during her beautiful life.
