Funeral service for Linda Harris, 73, will be Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Cotaco United Methodist Church with Bro. John Smith officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Her body will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Antioch Methodist Church. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 19, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Harris died on Sunday, July 17, 2016 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born March 28, 1943, in Morgan County to Cicero Fount Johnson and Lois Ella Johnson. Linda loved her family very much, and had two grandchildren and five great grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. She was very close to her sisters and all of her nieces and nephews. She was a longtime member of Cotaco Methodist Church and was raised in Somerville as a member of Antioch Methodist Church. She worked at SCI in Huntsville for 29 years prior to retirement.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Bob Harris, her parents, two brothers: James and Iley Johnson and a sister: Iris Jackson.
