Memorial Service for David John Morse age 69 of Decatur, Al who died July 13, 2016 at his residence will be August 13, 2016 at the First Assembly Church in St. Peters MO., with Mark J. Shepherd officiating. Shelton Funeral Home handling local arrangements.
Mr. Morse was born to Roy Morse and Harriett Dohner Morse on August 17th, 1946, in Delavan, WI.
Mr. Morse is survived by his wife, Shelia Morse of Decatur, Al, a daughter, Cammie Shepherd (Mark) of St. Charles, MO. and 2 (sons): Jason Morse of Hendersonville, TN, and Jeffery Morse (Nicole) of Beaverdam, VA. 4 brothers, Dennis Morse of Williamsburg, KY, Steve Morse (Loree) of Elkhorn, WI., Jim Morse (Bonnie) of Joplin, MO, and Tom Morse of Belivedere, IL.
8 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grand Children.
Dave went to Big Foot High School in Walworth County, WI and then joined the Army in 1965. In 1967 he began a 23 year career at Sta-Rite in Delavan, WI., Kaufman, TX., and Union City TN. He then transitioned to Copeland in 1992 for 20 years in Hartselle, Al as a manufacturing/industrial engineer. He was a lifelong Green Bay Packers Super Fan.
Dave was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. He always had time to help a neighbor or stranger in need. He was a hard worker and a warrior who never gave up. He was a man of few words but they held wisdom and value.
He will be remembered as a sweet, kind hearted man by everyone he knew. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
The memorial service for David J. Morse will be on August 13, 2016 at 2:00pm at First Assembly Church in St. Peters, Mo. 63376. In lieu of flowers, at Dave’s request, please consider a donation to Russel Hill Cancer Foundation at Russelhill .org or by donating to your local blood bank.
