Linda G. (West) Jones was called home to be with the Lord on her 81st birthday, September 24, 2023.
Linda was the fifth of five children born to William Owen West and Edna Olene (Lang) West. She grew up in Lacey’s Spring, Alabama, always among family and lifelong family friends. Linda retired from Chrysler, where she struggled through the early years of layoffs and uncertainty. Family and her dearest friends firmly supported her during these times for which she was forever grateful.
Linda is survived by her two daughters: Lisa Yancey Davis (Jeffrey) and Amanda Carol Monaco (LeahAnn). She is also survived by two grandsons: Brent Wayne Davis (Molly) and Brandon Allen Davis (Kaylie); and four great grandsons, Carter, Mason, Avery and Owen. Among her siblings, she is survived by her sister Eva Jane White (Elide), Martha Esther Atchley (GW), Edith Marie Ledbetter (Charles). Her brother Charles Owen (Toby) West and wife (Mary) predeceased her.
Family, church family and friends have always showered her with love, prayers, cards and phone calls, which were way too numerous to count – but every single one was appreciated and contributed much to keep her lifted up.
A visitation for friends and family will be held at the Brindlee Mountain Funeral Chapel in Morgan City, 3552 Hwy 231, Lacey’s Spring, AL 35754 on September 28, 2023 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held at Pine Grove Free Holiness Church, 8390 Hwy 36 East, Lacey’s Spring, AL 35754 on September 29th, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. Officiating will be Brother GW Atchley and Brother Wayne Walls.
Pallbearers escorting Linda to her final resting place in the adjoining cemetery will be: Brent Davis, Brandon Davis, Carter Davis, Mason Davis, Jeremy Morrow, Lake Mills, and John Kyzer.
In lieu of flowers the family encourages donations to Pine Grove Free Holiness Church.
