Linda was born in Russellville, Alabama on February 7, 1961. She graduated from Hamilton High School in 1979, and attended Mississippi College, where she was a cheerleader. She graduated from Mississippi College in 1983, where she earned a degree in business management. She later pursued a nursing degree at the University of North Alabama. She graduated in 1999, and she worked as a Registered Nurse for twenty-one years, most of those years spent caring for patients in the intensive care unit.
She loved animals, coffee, and Auburn football. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Hamilton. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, or Lala, as she was affectionately referred to by her four grandchildren. Her daughters and grandchildren were her pride and joy. Linda truly had a heart for caring for others. She spent many years volunteering at Children’s of Alabama and serving with West Alabama’s Alcoholics Anonymous. Much of her heart belonged to the people of Kenya, where she traveled on multiple occasions to serve as a nurse and to spread the love of Christ.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Jesus Harvesters Ministries to spread the good news of Christ throughout East Africa.
