Graveside Service for Linda Bates, 66 of Hartselle will be Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at 1:00PM at Hartselle Memory Gardens Cemetery with Bro. Michael Gunter officiating with Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11:30AM-12:30PM. Linda was born January 15, 1957 in Ohio to Franklin Henry Sherwood and Winfred Irene Mingus Sherwood. She passed away Friday, January 28, 2023 at her residence. She’s been Cancer free for 2 years. Linda loved to do word searches and play word games on her phone, read her Bible, watch her soap operas every day. She was a God-fearing woman who loved her family. She is now reunited with her husband and no longer in pain. Linda was a strong woman who overcame a lot in her life. She is preceded in death by her Husband, Oliver Kenneth “Buddy” Bates, Sister, Elizabeth Ausmus.
