-The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Caleb Allen Gandy, 31, of Athens, following an investigation into the sexual abuse of a child under the age of 12.
On the evening of Friday, April 17, 2026, deputies responded to a report of sexual abuse involving a child under the age of 12. The report initiated an investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division.

On Monday, April 20, investigators located Gandy in Madison, where he was taken into custody without incident.
Working in coordination with the Limestone Child Advocacy Center and the Limestone County Department of Human Resources, investigators developed probable cause to charge Gandy with Rape in the First Degree, Incest, and two counts of Sexual Abuse of a Child Less Than 12.
An Aniah’s Law hearing will be scheduled at a later date to determine whether bond will be granted in this case.
This remains an active and ongoing investigation, and no further information will be released at this time.
