ATHENS-On Sunday, October 18 a suspect was arrested for the stabbing of a man on Tillman Mill Road in Athens. Here is the statement issued by the Limestone County Sheriff”s Department:
“An Athens man was arrested yesterday for using scissors to stab a man multiple times who was at his ex-wife’s house on Tillman Mill Road.
Limestone County Sheriff’s Office investigators arrested Jason Nichols Stewart, 36, after he allegedly went to his ex-wife’s residence around 6:30 yesterday morning and found the victim inside the residence with his ex. An altercation ensued, which resulted in the victim being stabbed multiple times in the face and back with a pair of scissors. The victim was airlifted to Huntsville Hospital, but he has since been released.
Stewart is charged with Assault 1st and remains in the Limestone County Jail on $10,000 bond. The investigation remains ongoing at this time.”
