Lillian Marie Cole Peters – Obituary

Lillian Marie Cole Peters, age 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on June 13, 2017. Her service will be at Marion County Funeral Home in Hamilton, AL. on Friday, June 16, 2017. Visitation will be held from 12-2 pm with service following at 2 pm. Burial will be at Single Springs Cemetery in Vina, AL. She was a member of a member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church in Spruce Pine, AL. Dr. Scott Delashaw, pastor at Mt. Hebron, will be officiating. Lillian was long retired from NTN Bower in Hamilton, AL. She lived most of her life in Hackleburg, Al. and enjoyed the simple country life. She liked to travel, and often went to the beach with her family. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren. She was very special to all her family and all who knew her. She will be greatly missed. Lillian leaves to cherish her wonderful memories five children, Margaret Aderholt (Ray), Stephen Peters (Pam), Marie Tetro, Joyce Peters, Nina Jackson (Doug); eight grandchildren, Stefanie Aderholt, Jason Aderholt (Jessica), John Peters (Ashley),Frederick Tetro (Jillian), Amanda Tetro, Summer Perry, Lindsey Jackson and Leeah Jackson; fourteen great grandchildren, Alex Pounders, Hillary Plott, Andrew Wood, Norah Aderholt, Sapphire Hines, Jasmine Peters, Katelyn Peters, Charles Peters, Jaydon Tetro, Gage Tetro, Keely Tetro, Tristian Payton, Noah Payton, TaLea Payton; brother, Roy Cole and wife, Betty; sisters, Pearlene Colburn and Evelyn Williams; and a host of nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leman Allen Peters, parents, William Rile Cole and Lottie Mae Miller Cole, brothers, Garth Cole and Oliver Cole, sister, Lorene Hughes, and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be her wonderful grandsons, Jason, John, Frederick, Alex, Andrew, Jaydon, Gage, Tristian and Noah. The family would like to thank her longtime doctor, Dr. McAnnalley, and his nurses for all of the loving care that she received. The family also extends thanks to North Alabama Hospice for the compassionate care received from their wonderful nurses and caregivers. Special thanks to Kassie, Jessica, Mallory, Lindsey, Nicole, Mandy, Kim, Rosha, Beth, Josyln, Anita, Venus, and Yolanda for their kindness. Special thanks to Jennifer Tyra for all of the compassionate attentive care to our mother. A very special thanks to Stefanie, her wonderful granddaughter, for all the care she gave. Stefanie hardly left her grandma,s side. Thanks to Brother Scott Delashaw for all his visits and his prayers, and thank you to each and every one that showed love to our mother and our family. Please honor Lillian’s memory by giving a donation to the Alzheimer’s-Dementia Research Foundation.
