Letus Atkinson age 93 of Twin, AL passed away Saturday, December 17, 2022 in the Northwest Senior Care in Winfield, AL.
Born December 14, 1929 in Marion County, AL, he is the Son of the late Herbert Simpson and Mirtie Flippo Atkinson. He had lived in Twin most of his life and had served as the first Mayor. He was a Veteran of the Korean War, and retired from the National Guard. He was a member of the Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church.
He is survived by a host of Nieces and Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 Sisters, Margie Lee Atkinson, Fannie Silas, and Faye Franks and 2 Brothers, Rev. William E. Atkinson and Edgar Atkinson.
Private Graveside services were held.
